My passport photos are ready! Collected them today and submitted the application for my new biometric passport. My current one expires sometime in september next year so I'll definitely need a new one. Otherwise I can't come back! =X after getting the passport on friday, I'm going down to IDP to apply for my student visa next.
Gotta work on my personal statement for college too. Perhaps can spend some time drafting it out in camp since I "should not" be in the thick of any action. =) I have so much to write but I'm only allowed one page. Argh! This is so taxing on the mind sometimes. The thought about whether I'll get that coveted vacancy. Ahhh! I must I must! Shall aim to submit my college application by the first or second of december.
For now, it's back to camp. Just for a couple of days. Extracting my last wisdom tooth on thu. And then there's the arrival of the relative. Must plan itinerary!
Well.. That's what they say! I will see for myself when I finally collect my MacBook Pro on the first week of december. Got an excellent package on the macbook and apple care protection plan. Otherwise I probably won't even be able to think about getting a pro. And then there's Office for Mac =P
The countdown begins! I'm really really really excited.
It's in Chadstone Shopping Center! =DD
I was a little peeved that Apple opened a HUGE store in Sydney and not Melbourne. But at least, they have a store. Like not just Apple Premium Resellers. I don't think there'll ever be an Apple Store in Singapore. Maybe many years down the road.
It's kinda far from the Melbourne CBD though. 19km plus to be exact. Let's hope I'll not have to consult a Genius at the Genius Bar anytime soon.
IF I get a Mac.
FUN. It was really fun today. One end of the extreme was Labrador. It was part of the "Amazing Race" thing that was conducted a couple of months ago. But it being a race, there was never time to really explore the place & I remember the weather not being very kind. But this time, time was a luxury and the weather was right. Cloudy and slightly cold. Perfect for the jungle walks and stuff. We checked out everything. MG sentry posts. Waterway landmarks to guide ships to dock. Sealed up bunkers. Locked up tunnels. Boardwalks. Low tide wildlife. Disturbed spider. But it has probably spun a new web by now. =X
Then there was the Live Fresh Bash and Zouk to fill up the other end of the extreme. Haji Lane has some really cool stores. Saw a couple of apparels that I took a liking to but well.. Save money luhh! Then there's the free flow of Tiger and Red Bull. Exotic restaurants. Graffiti. Bike stunts. Bubbles. Parking was mad though. Has to REVERSE all the way out of the narrow Bali Lane. The parallel lane beside Haji. Couldn't have done it so smoothly without your help man! Free entry to Zouk before midnight so decided to check it out. Found out it's really simple to drive there compared to the Clarke Quay ones. Phuture was alrdy at full capacity. My first impression of Zouk's not too bad but seriously, I cannot stand the music. Lol! I guess I'm more mainstream. Only like certain types of house music.
Is it just me? =X
Yes. After all that jazz about the poor victory speech, issues about off days and being under-appreciated, the cohesion still happened as it should. =) really happy about. It's been quite some time since I've had a bbq. I think the last one was the class outing one back in JC at ECP. I can't even remember if it was in year one or two. =X as always, bbqs were fun to have and surprisingly quite easy to plan with the food being taken cared of by this bbq caterer company while rishi got us his function room and bbq pits by the pool. The initial plan was to have a chalet + bbq BUT alas, it was such a last minute thing that NONE were available. Not surprising considering that holiday season's coming up and all. Towards the end, S1 had prepared some gifts for those who have ORDed, were going to ORD or leaving for another unit. It was quite a nice surprise for me. Pleasant one. He got us mugs with witty phrases on them meant to express how each of us were like. Mine was like "If stress could burn calories, I would be a supermodel!" T.T apparently, I handle all the stress he puts on me very well.
S1 said something to me when he passed me my gift. This is what he said. Ivan, you would do very well in anything you do. Good Luck. Hmmm.. It was flattering and VERY encouraging. I really hope his judgement is accurate cause' I'll be embarking on quite a few firsts in the very near future. Geographically and emotionally. =)
I've been pretty fortunate with regards to my wisdom teeth extraction. Relatively smooth recovery as I enter Day 3. The all blended food experience is quite fun. Although, I've been feeling hungry so much more often. Have to constantly take antibiotics to prevent infections. Painkiller before I sleep too. The remaining one will go on the 27th.
Updated iTunes with some albums today. Damien Rice. Switchfoot. Travis.
Fixed up my live messenger. FINALLY. Realized it's some problem with Windows Vista's settings. Some autotuning feature. Whatever that is. Disabled it using command prompt anyway. And now everything works! Trying out Live Messenger Beta too. Offers a glimpse into what Windows 7 will be like. But I'm still quite convinced to switch to Leopard soon. MacBook! =D
All this staying home is allowing me to work through all the random thoughts in my mind. Hope it all sorts itself out eventually so I'll know what to do. =X and I hope what I do works! =)
