I'm still not quite sure what happened but well, my blog's loading fine again. =)
Had a short week cause' thursday's a halfday and we had a cohesion. Left camp at around 1230. Dropped Julius & Gareth off at Queenstown before heading to Vivo with HT to get the tix for Wanted. Well, everybody thought the show wasn't worth the money nor the two hours. Alright. The movie wasn't fantastic but to me, it was okay. Interesting stunts and the cars were cool. =P I gotta admit though, the movie was propped up by Angelina Jolie who played the female lead. She has this air. And she's still looking good. Wanted's NC-16 for a reason yahh. =X
Had dinner at Marche. I'm really not sure if it's my mind playing tricks on me but I really really feel that the food at Marche is better than Vil'age (however you spell it), Just like how I like Fish & Co. more than Manhattan Fish Market though I've met a handful who swear the latter's better. Maybe I like originals? =X
Drove over to Timbre but no space luhh. So we headed over to China One at Clarke Quay. Liang Court's carpark is like scary. Tight turns up the carpark. One of the first times when I got really scared while driving. I didn't even feel that threatened when Rishi initiated a "little race" on the ECP. Tsktsk! And of course, I just had a mocktail. No alcohol, my fellow drivers. =)
No pictures yet cause' I left my cam in the car. But will grab the pics from Gareth and HS soon. =)
Car servicing & Ikea breakfast tomorrow. Lunch and New York Skin on Sun. Seems like a light weekend for now.
Some songs really bring the fuzzy-ness in you ehh. Sophia by Nerina Pallot.
Something funny's going on with my blog. It doesnt seem to load properly and this whole chunk of stuff that I blogged just disappeared after I posted it. Or did the pictures eat them out.
Irritating. But I shall have to attempt a "fix it" next weekend when I return from camp. Grrr.
Alas, 71 King's Drive is experiencing another change in tenancy, after 6 years. Well, it's for the better I suppose since we weren't particularly fond of the previous tenant. Shrewd. Difficult to handle. And the new rental's really yummy! =P
Did a preliminary inspection of the place and the most tiring parts start. The cleaning up. It's gonna get a new paintjob. Several new lightings. A tidied up garden. And so on. It's gonna be a month before the new tenant moves in. Used to stay there briefly when I was in Primary 5/6. Too young to appreciate such a place. Well, perhaps in the future.
Finally collected my D&G pants. I've been wanting a pair of white pants for some time now. And finally I got one. One that I'm really really like. Drove to Forum to pick it up. Hehe! Gonna start to cover roads all over Singapore soon. =D
I realized that for brands of such calibre, the packaging is really well thought out and it really enhances the entire shopping experience. Notice the more relaxed, chill out, hip-ish packaging of the D&G line that targets a younger, more trend-setting audience while the Dolce & Gabanna one sticks to the usual classy thick paper/cardboard bags. One thing that really surprised me was that the thin wrapping paper within the transparent bag had like D&G printed on it as well. Like I said, well thought out. =)
Such an inspiration to work hard and perhaps in the future, such purchases wouldn't take months of careful saving up.
Alas, I am disappointed that Hillary Clinton has lost in the race to win the nomination for the Demoratic Party. However, the graciousness she showed towards Barack Obama has once again deepy impressed me. She's such an inspiration and I really do hope that she becomes Obama's vice-president. Even if she doesn't, I'm of the belief that she'll continue doing great things and strive for every American to be able to live the American Dream.
"It would break my heart if, in falling short of my goal, I in any way discouraged any of you from pursuing yours. When you stumble, keep faith. And, when you're knocked down, get right back up and never listen to anyone who says you can't or shouldn't go on."
Booked out on time tonight. Yongyao drove us to Jurong Point where we caught Kungfu Panda! Simple, hiliarious and as always, there's a moral behind the story. Not too bad though I'm still eagerly waiting for Wall-E to be released come end of June.
I liked Master Tigress (voiced by Angelina Jolie) the most. Somehow I feel that I can relate to her character. Striving to impress yet perhaps not quite the brightest star she hoped to be. =X
Hehh. I so can't wait for this movie to be released. It's so damn cute that I just wanna squish those lil' robots.
Innocence at its best.
This has gotta be the most bizzare and ridiculous car branding adverts I've ever seen. T.T
My first official shopping attempt at this year's GSS. UOB discounts are everywhere luhh. If only, my parents trusted me with their supplimentary card. =X but perhaps it's a good thing that they don't.
Got a new pair of shoes from Pedro. It had similar design details to what I really wanted. However, that's like 300 euros. Totally out of reach. So I'm really happy! =) and it seems comfortable enough for driving too. Can gauge the pedals. Then there were those pieces from Banana Republic. I'm most probably going back to get this bag from them too. I just can't get it out of my head. =P
Had dinner with Joel at Aquamarine @ Marina Mandarin. Decadence. I know. Enjoyed it more than The Line but it's an unfair comparison. I was having a splitting headache when I was at The Line so I didn't get to savour their creations properly. Aquamarine was commendable. Would definitely go there again. Especially since it's more affordable.
Fergie's Labels or Love got me thinking. Really thinking. Hmmm.
Love's like a runway but which one do I love more
No emotional baggage, just big bags filled with Dior
Love's like a runway, so what's all the fussing for
Let's stop chasing them boys and shop some more
Relationships are so hard to tame
A Prada dress has never broken my heart before
